Barcelona, Spain is one of the top tourist destinations in Europe. Going out to eat is another wonderful Barcelona experience.  The cuisine of this Spanish city is not created with speed in mind, but the emphasis is on quality and perfection.  Barcelona is home to some of the best chefs in Europe, many seek to create new inventive dishes that are an exquisite mixture flavors while others recreate the long loved traditional Catalan cuisine. 

Barcelona is also a festive town and the people there love the opportunity to celebrate.  There are festivals at set times through out the year.  Some of the most widely attended and engaging festivals are, the epiphany January 6^th, Mare de Deu de Montserrat April 27^th, Whitsun May 19^th, and La Diada September 11^th.  On Sundays many people often gather in front of any of Barcelona's magnificent cathedrals and do the Sardana, a traditional Catalan dance.
