All apartments I´ve stayed in were good. Price/quality is good. If you want to cook yourself most of them did miss some stuff. And in autumn and winter and maybe spring, it should have more blankets.

Walter Wagner / Vila Joiosa
From Apr-11, 2009 Until Apr-12, 2009
Loved both the location and feel of our apartment on Vila Joiosa in the Barceloneta section of Barcelona. Right next to the beach. The apartment was clean and well furnished with both a 2 person bed and a small but adequate terrace where wet clothes could be hung out to dry. Overall it had everything we wanted and needed and I would recommend it to anyone (especially and beachgoers!) Really perfect.

Sandra Steiger / Gothic 777
From Oct-08, 2009 Until Oct-08, 2009
Fantastic apartment!! Very clean, central, comfortable. It felt like home for the weekend we were there!

Erik Beer / Ramblas Building 5-6
From Dec-30, 2009 Until Jan-01, 2010
We had a very pleasant stay at the Ramblas apartment. The two bedroom apartment was very clean. The living room was fairly spacious for a European apartment with a large kitchen table and L-shaped couch which easily slept our 5th person. The apartment also has its own lift, and the doors had really nice security locks giving us peace in mind when leaving travel gear and money in the apartment. Hardwood floors and "IKEA" type furnishing gave the apartment a modern yet comfortable feel. The location really couldn't be much better for Barcelona. Centrally located to the Barri Gothic for old city sites, shopping, and restaurants. 1 minute walk from La Rambla, 5 minutes to tourist information, and only 10 minutes to the Picasso museum. The metro is less than a 5 minute walk on La Rambla, and is the best bet for hitting Guadi attractions on the other side of the city. The green L3 line will take you to most all recommended city attractions, including the main train station. Airport transport was easily done on city bus for a few Euro, or $30 cab (bus was simple). The apartment is surrounded by "local" restaurants offering high quality food at more affordable prices than the touristy Rambla. Our host was very nice and offered his local restaurant favorites which were very good and reasonably priced. I would rent this apartment again and would not hesitate in recommending it to my friends or family.

Say Ole! to these Barcelona Events

Barcelona, Spain is one of the top tourist destinations in Europe. This is a city where historic beauty meets modern day luxury.  The warm, relaxing Mediterranean climate makes everyday in Barcelona a vacation worth remembering, and the soothingly warm weather makes any of Barcelona's seven beaches all the more enticing.

Barcelona is not a city where you will spend a lot of time indoors because there is just too much to do! Do not miss the great Segway tours that let you cruise about the streets of the city in total comfort.  Everyone that visits this Spanish city can find an adventure or activity to explore. From world renowned museums to its nightlife, to the beautiful parks that dot the landscapes, there is something for everyone in this city.

A wonderful way for Barcelona visitors to experience the life, culture and history of the town is by renting a holiday apartment while they are there. You will find a number of fully equipped rental units that are available, but these are quickly claimed during the peak tourist season.

Hotels are the usual accommodations that most people choose when they are traveling through  Europe, but renting a holiday apartment in Barcelona has many more benefits to offer. These apartments are fully furnished and have all the comforts of home. They each have a unique style and charm, and because of the variety of locations you can choose an apartment that is much more conveniently located than most hotels.

The charm and romance of Spain is evident when you visit Ciutat Vella (Old City), which is also called the Gothic Quarter.  Ciutat Vella contains some wonderful old buildings, including the church of Santa Maria del Pi, a magnificent architectural achievement.

Museums in Barcelona are world famous and some of these buildings house a number of the most breath taking artifacts in the world.  A variety of different types of art museums are located in Spain's capital city. The  Fundacio Antoni Tapies makes it possible for Barcelona to have one of the most varied and impressive art collections found anywhere.    You can explore the National Museum of Art of Catalonia, the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art or the Picasso Museum.

There are other archeological and cultural museums in Barcelona that exhibit artifacts from all over the world.  The Museum of the History of Catalonia, Egyptian Museum, and the Barcelona Maritime Museum are known to be some of the most famous museums in Barcelona.  Another famous museum is the Cosmocaixa; this is a science museum that has even received the European Museum of the Year award in 2006.

Tourists with more modern tastes will have plenty of popular Barcelona attractions to choose from.  Barcelona is well known for its live music and theatre venues, such as the Gran Teatre del Liceu opera theatre, the teatre Lliure, and the Palau de la Musica Catalana.   Barcelona also makes a gorgeous backdrop for the major music festivals, the Sonar Festival and the Primavera Sound Festival, that take place in the city every year.

Going out to eat is another wonderful Barcelona experience.  The cuisine of this Spanish city is not created with speed in mind, but the emphasis is on quality and perfection.  Barcelona is home to some of the best chefs in Europe, many seek to create new inventive dishes that are an exquisite mixture flavors while others recreate the long loved traditional Catalan cuisine.

Barcelona is also a festive town and the people there love the opportunity to celebrate.  There are festivals at set times through out the year.  Some of the most widely attended and engaging festivals are, the epiphany January 6th, Mare de Deu de Montserrat April 27th, Whitsun May 19th, and La Diada September 11th.  On Sundays many people often gather in front of any of Barcelona's magnificent cathedrals and do the Sardana, a traditional Catalan dance.

Enjoy your visit to the arquitectural city of Spain, come and have fun with all of this Barcelona activities!
