All apartments I´ve stayed in were good. Price/quality is good. If you want to cook yourself most of them did miss some stuff. And in autumn and winter and maybe spring, it should have more blankets.

This was a spacious, well-located apartment close to Ave Parallel and the Parallel Metro station in a quiet neighbourhood. It had all the basics and was a good place from which to explore the city.

Walter Wagner / Vila Joiosa
From Apr-11, 2009 Until Apr-12, 2009
Loved both the location and feel of our apartment on Vila Joiosa in the Barceloneta section of Barcelona. Right next to the beach. The apartment was clean and well furnished with both a 2 person bed and a small but adequate terrace where wet clothes could be hung out to dry. Overall it had everything we wanted and needed and I would recommend it to anyone (especially and beachgoers!) Really perfect.

Erik Beer / Ramblas Building 5-6
From Dec-30, 2009 Until Jan-01, 2010
We had a very pleasant stay at the Ramblas apartment. The two bedroom apartment was very clean. The living room was fairly spacious for a European apartment with a large kitchen table and L-shaped couch which easily slept our 5th person. The apartment also has its own lift, and the doors had really nice security locks giving us peace in mind when leaving travel gear and money in the apartment. Hardwood floors and "IKEA" type furnishing gave the apartment a modern yet comfortable feel. The location really couldn't be much better for Barcelona. Centrally located to the Barri Gothic for old city sites, shopping, and restaurants. 1 minute walk from La Rambla, 5 minutes to tourist information, and only 10 minutes to the Picasso museum. The metro is less than a 5 minute walk on La Rambla, and is the best bet for hitting Guadi attractions on the other side of the city. The green L3 line will take you to most all recommended city attractions, including the main train station. Airport transport was easily done on city bus for a few Euro, or $30 cab (bus was simple). The apartment is surrounded by "local" restaurants offering high quality food at more affordable prices than the touristy Rambla. Our host was very nice and offered his local restaurant favorites which were very good and reasonably priced. I would rent this apartment again and would not hesitate in recommending it to my friends or family.

Great location just off the beach, very friendly and helpful staff.

Only negative of the place was that the hot water ran out fairly quickly. But still I'm happy with the place and the price we paid.

Barcelona Beach

Are you current planning an upcoming vacation to Barcelona? If so, you'll definitely want to be sure to visit one or more of their incredibly beautiful beaches. With so many great beaches in Barcelona to choose from, you may not know quite where to start. Never fear! I will be more than happy to assist you with that!

For starters, Barcelonta Beach has a lot to offer. Besides going swimming, kite surfing and windsurfing are also really popular here. There are several huts here where you can buy a nice, refreshing drink. In addition to offering a skating area, you can also play table soccer here which is a lot of fun. It's also very conveniently located as takes less than ten minutes to walk here from Metro Barcelonta. Do you have inhibitions that you'd like to get rid of? If so, for a carefree good time check out Mar Bella Beach. Mar Bella is mainly a nudist beach. However, you will find that there are also a lot of people that go here that are not nude. So, this beach is open to both nudists and non-nudists alike.

If you have children and are looking for a really family friendly beach, Vilanova is a great option. They offer excellent facilities for kids here including a great park that is right next to the beach. Tossa De Mar offers a gorgeous view as it has an old castle on the hill overlooking the bay. However, the frequent coming and going of the boats here can be pretty distracting. Bogatell is considered to be one of the safest beaches in Barcelona. In addition to water sports, some other fun activities you can do here are playing ping-pong at the ping-pong table and/or playing volleyball at their great volleyball court. Also, you can easily access this beach by bicycle since it's bordered by a bicycle track.

All of Barcelona's beaches are clean and well maintained. Also, many of the beaches have lifeguards to help ensure your safety. Therefore, no matter which one you choose to visit, you really can't go wrong!

Are you looking for a great place to stay while in Barcelona? If so, I'd highly recommend that you check out one of the many great holiday apartments that are available for rent. Besides being very affordable, they offer a lot of the same great conveniences that you would normally find at home.
