It was a nice and cleaned apartment in city center. All Kitchen stuff were good and the landlady was very kind.
The beds were not comfortable enough to sleep.

From Oct-11, 2009 Until Oct-13, 2009
This was a spacious, well-located apartment close to Ave Parallel and the Parallel Metro station in a quiet neighbourhood. It had all the basics and was a good place from which to explore the city.

Erik Beer / Ramblas Building 5-6
From Dec-30, 2009 Until Jan-01, 2010
We had a very pleasant stay at the Ramblas apartment. The two bedroom apartment was very clean. The living room was fairly spacious for a European apartment with a large kitchen table and L-shaped couch which easily slept our 5th person. The apartment also has its own lift, and the doors had really nice security locks giving us peace in mind when leaving travel gear and money in the apartment. Hardwood floors and "IKEA" type furnishing gave the apartment a modern yet comfortable feel. The location really couldn't be much better for Barcelona. Centrally located to the Barri Gothic for old city sites, shopping, and restaurants. 1 minute walk from La Rambla, 5 minutes to tourist information, and only 10 minutes to the Picasso museum. The metro is less than a 5 minute walk on La Rambla, and is the best bet for hitting Guadi attractions on the other side of the city. The green L3 line will take you to most all recommended city attractions, including the main train station. Airport transport was easily done on city bus for a few Euro, or $30 cab (bus was simple). The apartment is surrounded by "local" restaurants offering high quality food at more affordable prices than the touristy Rambla. Our host was very nice and offered his local restaurant favorites which were very good and reasonably priced. I would rent this apartment again and would not hesitate in recommending it to my friends or family.

All apartments I´ve stayed in were good. Price/quality is good. If you want to cook yourself most of them did miss some stuff. And in autumn and winter and maybe spring, it should have more blankets.

Sue Christoforou / Vila Joiosa
From May-14, 2009 Until May-17, 2009
I had a fantastic time here. The location is perfect, with a view of the beach from the balcony and all that Barcelona has to offer within easy walking distance. The accommotion was perfect with every thing one might need, including beach umbrellas. I wouldn't hesitate in recommeding this place.

Fantastic flat. The staff was very useful.

Walter Wagner / Vila Joiosa
From Apr-11, 2009 Until Apr-12, 2009
Loved both the location and feel of our apartment on Vila Joiosa in the Barceloneta section of Barcelona. Right next to the beach. The apartment was clean and well furnished with both a 2 person bed and a small but adequate terrace where wet clothes could be hung out to dry. Overall it had everything we wanted and needed and I would recommend it to anyone (especially and beachgoers!) Really perfect.

Julia Mercer / Hostel House Double Studios

This is a basic apartment but has everything you need for a short visit in Barcelona. the location is fantastic - the square at the end of the street is very picturesque and has a good tapas bar. Juan was very helpful and friendly. i would stay here again.

Casey Sorensen / Vila Joiosa

Great location just off the beach, very friendly and helpful staff.

Only negative of the place was that the hot water ran out fairly quickly. But still I'm happy with the place and the price we paid.

Barcelona Sightseeing

Those vacationing in Barcelona Spain can expect to experience the magic and beauty of this unique city. One of the main attractions for the city is its beautiful architecture, diverse restaurants and active nightlife with dozens of clubs for dancing the night away. Visitors can visit a Spanish language school to learn the language or relax on its beaches.

For even a shorter vacation, a hotel can start to become pricey. Barcelona rental properties will allow you to get the most out of your time in the country and save money. Allowing you to even extend your vacation for a few days before leaving. This is an especially popular option for those traveling in groups. Apartments can often be rented directly from the owner or through companies that specialize in this service. When visiting Barcelona soak up its unique atmosphere by sightseeing in these tourist favorites and consider how an apartment rental in the center of the city will help you see more of what Barcelona has to offer.

Museums

The Archaeological Museum of Barcelona is a must see for those who are fans of ancient history and art. The museum includes works of art from Ancient Greece and murals from Ancient Rome. The Picasso Museum offers access to works from one of the most well known artist of all time and includes much of the work from his early period. The Catalonia Museum of History is also a popular tourist destination for learning more about the history of the area.

The Museum of Catalan Art is home to over 1,000 years of Catalan art, covering the Romanesque and Gothic periods and includes sculptures, paintings, photography and more. Barcelona's Magic Fountain is located at the entranceway to this museum and is a favorite among visitors. Dating back to 1929, the moving water jets shoot up water in different colors and shades timed to music.

Works of Antoni Gaudi

A visit to Barcelona would not be complete without seeing the architecture of Antoni Gaudi. His works can be seen in over a dozen locations around the city. The most famous being the unfinished Sagrada Família. The massive church was not completed by Gaudi before his death though he worked on it for 40 years before he died. Work is still being done on the tower today and millions of tourist visit each year. Another famous work of Gaudi's is the Geull Park. The beautiful architecture of the garden complex is one of the reasons Guell Park is popular among visitors to Barcelona. The mosaic dragon fountain can be seen at the parks entrance.

La Rambla

One of the benefits of renting an apartment in Barcelona is the ability to soak up more of the local culture of Barcelona's people and the La Rambla Boulevard is certainly that. Popular with both locals and tourist alike it offers the chance to see street performers and musicians, buy flowers, trinkets and more. The Teatre del Liceu a famous opera house is also located on the La Rambla with over 2,000 seats the opera house has been around since the 1800s. The Barri Gòtic a medieval district found in the center of the city is also near La Rambla and offers a chance to see beautiful architecture from the past.

Renting an Barcelona apartment is a much more independent way of visiting the city and is an option many people prefer.
